First day in Thailand

Let me start off by saying that Thai Airlines is seriously the best! My mom had called them to let them know that she needed wheelchair assistance to an from the gate and when we boarded the flight to Bangkok, we discovered that they had booked two rows for us = 6 seats, instead of just 3, to make sure my mom had enough room and so on. Now that is what I call service and caring for the customer!

We arrived at our hotel earlier today and we got our rooms like 10 minutes after arriving. We were met with a cold wet towel and a cold glass of lemonade. Our rooms were originally at the other end of the resort, but because my mom still uses a crutch, they moved us to another part of the resort, closer to the breakfast area, etc.

This is how my room looks and my parents room is the same :)

Først og fremmest må jeg lige sige et par få ord om turen med Thai til Bangkok. Min mor havde ringet til dem og sagt at hun havde brug for kørestols-service til og fra gaten. Det var der også, men da vi boardede flyet i Københavns Lufthavn, så fik vi at vide at de to rækker var til os, da min mor skulle ha’ massere af plads til sit dårlige ben. Se det er hvad man kalder service!

Vi ankom til hotellet tidligere i dag og blev mødt med en kold klu og et glas iskoldt saft. Derefter fik vi vores rum, men da de så at min mor var dårligt gående, flyttede de os til en anden del af resortet, som er tættere på morgenmads buffeten osv.

Men nok om det, det her er mit værelse og mine forældres værelse er det samme :)
