I’m showing y’all my fave recipe for lasagna. It’s easy to follow and makes the best lasagne in my opinion. Even my mom, who hates lasagna, love this so I’m hopiong you guys will as well!

This recipe will feed 4 people and you can easily serve a salad or nice bread as a side dish.

Ingredients:

250g of fresh or pre-cooked lasagna sheets
45g of shredded cheese
10g of butter

Meat-sauce:
100g of chopped onions
500g of minced beef
25g of butter (you can use oil, but it won’t taste the same)
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp of dried basil or time
½ tsp of dried oregano
1 can of tomato purée (between 70-145g depending on how much tomato you like)
1½ dl of beef stock
2 tbsp of Ketchup (Heinz)

Béchamelsauce (white sauce):
30g of butter
3½ tbsp of flour
6 dl of boiling milk
½ tsp of salt
Freshly ground (white) pepper to taste
½ tsp of nutmeg
150g of shredded cheese

How to:

Meat-sauce:
Brown the onion and meat in the butter. Add the spices, tomato purée and beef stock. Stir and let simmer for around 10 minutes – Done!

Béchamelsauce/white sauce:
Melt the butter in a thick based pot. Add the flour and “bake” it together so it makes a sort of dough. Then add half of the milk and stir well to prevent lumps. Let it get to a boil and add the rest of the milk little by little. Add the spices and cheese and stir. Let the sauce cook for a few minutes and taste it to see if it needs any more seasoning.

Making of the Lasagna:
Start by greasing your oven proof dish, then add a small amount of the white sauce to prevent the lasagna sheets from burning. Add the sheet, meat-sauce and white sauce and repeat until the dish is full and you’re out of ingredients, but remember to have a layer of white sauce on top and add the cheese before putting it in the oven.

Bake for 35 minutes, in the middle of the oven, at 200 degrees Celcius
